What’s Effective When it Comes to Training Videos?
It’s no doubt that customers expect comprehensive walk-throughs and important background information in order to be satisfied with product training.
Whether an LMS (learning management system) infrastructure or other CMS (content management system) is required for deployment is a separate topic for discussion. But it still boils down to this…whether the multimedia/video program is a Corporate Identity or an “Introduction to…” training module, the content needs to engage the viewer, keep their attention, and communicate effectively.
Video-based Training done correctly can be used in different ways:
- hosted online for self-serve, easy-to-navigate support for existing customers
- for Sales. Potential customers can be given access to the great online support videos so that they can “watch the product in action” and see a playback of problems being solved right before their eyes
- packaged with product, so that customers can “Get Started” immediately, easing support calls and improving the out-of-the-box experience for new customers
